Establishment of the Senior NSERC/NanoXplore Industrial Research Chair at University of Toronto

NanoXplore is very pleased to announce the establishment of the Senior NSERC/NanoXplore Industrial Research Chair in Multifunctional Graphene-based Nanocomposites and Foams at University of Toronto with Professor Chul Park as the titular chair. Professor Park and his team are working with NanoXplore to make novel composites of graphene and foamed plastic with interesting mechanical, thermal and electromagnetic shielding properties. Such novel materials have exciting applications in transportation equipment, sensors, smartphones and other portable electronic devices.

Professor Park is a world-renowned scholar and researcher in the field of polymer foam and is the Distinguished Professor of Microcellular Engineered Plastics at University of Toronto. Prof Park has published more than 1000 papers, including over 310 journal papers and four books, serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cellular Plastics and sits on the Advisory Editorial Board of several journals. He has been inducted into 4 academies (the Royal Society of Canada, the Canadian Academy of Engineering, the Korean Academy of Science and Technology, and The National Academy of Engineering of Korea), and is a fellow of 5 other professional societies.
